Picture Time!

Greetings! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a great day.

We began our day by attending Adoration. We spent time praying for those who need our prayers.

We continued with our week of learning in Language Arts. We practiced answering questions using our oral vocabulary words. Next, we used our letter tiles to spell and read r-controlled -ar words; the students are really enjoying talking like a pirate this week. After that, we talked about irregular plurals. We then practiced using our sight words and vocabulary words in sentences. We ended our morning focused on comprehension; this week we are looking at point of view. We reread A Barn Full of Hats and wrote about how each character feels and how we know that. We also read our decodable reader and wrote about how the characters felt in that story.

This afternoon in Language Arts we practiced joining sentences using so and because.

In Math class today, our focused switched to subtraction. We learned how to subtract without regrouping. The key for us is to remember to take away now.

Here are pictures I promised. You will see our Friday art project, Dr. Seuss writing, and our pirate activity from yesterday. Enjoy!

Have a great night!
