Hopping Into Spring!

Greetings! Happy Wednesday! This week is flying right by.

In Religion today we talked about how Jesus gave us the Eucharist at the Last Supper. We talked about how Jesus shared a meal of bread and wine with his disciples. We learned that when Jesus prayed over the bread and wine it became his Body and Blood.

We began a new week of learning in Language Arts; this week we will be reading about inventions. We began by learning our new oral vocabulary words (curious, improve, device, imagine, and complicated). We worked on asking and answering questions as we read about inventions. Then we learned how to blend and read r-controlled -or, -ore, and -oar words. Following that we learned our new sight words and vocabulary words. We ended the morning reading a biography about a robot inventor.

This afternoon in Language Arts we learned about adjectives that compare. We drew examples of comparing. We also did some spring writing. We wrote about what we are excited to do in the spring. We added that to a craft.

In Math class today, we learned the basics of multiplication. For us, it is repeated addition. This lesson will help students in second grade.

Have a great night!
