There's A Wocket in My Pocket!

Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is having a great week. As the students have remarked, this week is flying by.

In Religion today, we talked about more miracles that Jesus performed. We talked about how he raised Jairus' daughter and how he healed the blind man.

We continued with our week of reading. We reviewed our oral vocabulary words and read long e words and compound words. We practiced our sight words by playing "Don't Build the Leprechaun". We read a nonfiction piece about mountain gorillas and worked on finding supporting details in the story. To have some time tomorrow, we took our weekly assessment today. We ended class by finding adverbs that tell how in sentences.

In Math class, we continued to practice adding with regrouping. We are getting good at adding the regrouped ten. We just need to make sure that we don't get into the habit of regrouping all of the time.

For our Dr. Seuss fun today, we read There's a Wocket in My Pocket. We wrote our own rhyming sentence naming our wocket. We then added it to a craft.

Have a great night!
