Subtraction With Regrouping!

Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine today. Just seeing it makes you feel good.

In Religion class today we talked about how we believe in Jesus.

In Language Arts class, we reviewed our oral vocabulary words, read r-controlled -ar words, wrote irregular plural words, and practiced our sight words. We had fun reading a short nonfiction piece about sorting and classifying objects; the students enjoyed answering all the questions related to sorting. We ended our class by taking our weekly assessment and by practicing joining sentences together.

In Math class today we reviewed subtraction without regrouping. We then practiced subtraction with regrouping. We began by using our base ten blocks to explore what it means to regroup. We then transitioned into solving problems. The key is to remember that we are regrouping only one ten.

We ended our day with Social Studies. Today we identified the continent, country, and state where we live.

Here is a picture from our St. Patrick's Day writing we did yesterday.

Have a great night!
