An Unusual Day!

Greetings! Today was an unusual day to say the least. As different as it was, I am so proud that the children stayed calm and knew what to do. They were rock stars today!

In Religion class today, we talked about how consecrated hosts are kept in the tabernacle in church.

We began a new week of learning in Language Arts; this week we will be reading about sound. We began by learning five new oral vocabulary words (volume, distract, senses, squeaky, and nervous). We then worked on retelling as we listened to a story about a squeaky bed. Following that, we learned how to blend and read ou and ow words. Then, we learned our new sight words and vocabulary words. Finally, we read Now, What's That Sound?

This afternoon we learned how to use a and an in sentences. We also began a spring writing project. We are describing spring using our senses.

In Math class today, we learned how to compare the length of objects by using a start line. We lined up strips of paper against a line and then compared the lengths.

Have a good night! I'm sure we will all sleep well.
