The Last Supper!

Greetings! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is doing well.

In Religion today, we continued to talk about the Last Supper. Today we talked about how Jesus gave the Apostles the power to change the bread and wine into his Body and Blood when he said "Do this in remembrance of me. We created a small picture to help us remember that Jesus is present in the Eucharist.

We continued with our week of learning in Language Arts. We answered questions using our oral vocabulary words. We used our letter tiles to spell and read r-controlled -or words. After that we learned about abbreviations. Next, we practiced using our sight words and vocabulary words in sentences. We ended our morning focusing on comprehension; this week we are working on problem/solution. We reread our story from yesterday and wrote about a problem the inventor had, how he solved the problem, and what happened now that the problem was solved. We also read our decodable reader. After reading that story we talked about problems in the story and how they were solved.

In Math class, we reviewed adding and subtracting with and without regrouping. We are ready to take our chapter test tomorrow.

In Social Studies class, we learned that Canada is our neighbor to the north and that Mexico is our neighbor to the south.

Have a great night!
