Greetings! Our first full day of spring was a hopping success! It was full of prayer, learning, and excitement.
We began our day by going to Adoration. During this quiet time with Jesus we said extra prayers for those who are sick and asked Jesus to help us be good followers today.
Language Arts class was full of learning today. We learned new oral vocabulary words, sight words, and vocabulary words. We learned how to blend and decode words with r-controlled er, ir, ur, and or. We practiced reading these words as we read A Bird Named Fern. Finally we learned about adjectives.
Math class was also full of learning today. We learned new math facts: the subtracting a number from 10 facts. We used pennies to act out the problems and help us write number sentences. We ended class by completing our own set of fact cards.
There is a special treat tomorrow. We won the second week of our Penny Challenge. Tomorrow we will have an extra long recess! Keep bringing in those pennies!
