The Last Week of March!

Greetings! Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. It was nice to come back to school today and enjoy the day with the students. My weekend was so busy and crazy; the students helped get my week off to a great start.

In Religion class today we talked about making good choices. We learned to ask ourselves What Would Jesus Do when making decisions. We also talked about how praying helps us make good choices.

Language Arts class was full of new learning today. We learned new oral vocabulary, sight, and vocabulary words. We also learned how to blend and read r-controlled -or words. We then read a biography called The Story of a Toy Robot. We ended our morning working in our literacy centers. This afternoon we talked about adjectives that compare. We illustrated the meaning of the words big, bigger, and biggest.

We continued learning new math facts in Math class today. Today's focus was the adding 9 facts. To solve these facts we add 10 to the small number and then subtract 1. To help us learn these facts we made our own facts cards.

Enjoy your night!
