Pieces of Gold!

Greetings! I hope everyone is doing well. We had a great day to end our week of learning today.

In Religion class, we finished learning the Stations of the Cross. We finished the video we started yesterday that explained each station. We concluded that Jesus loves us so much to do what he did.

We wrapped up another week of learning in Language Arts. We used our oral vocabulary words in sentences, spelled and read r-controlled er, ir, ur, and or words along with words with the inflectional ending -er. We wrote sentences using our sight words, talked about shades of meaning with words, and learned about captions. In addition we partner read a story in our decodable reader booklet and read a nonfiction piece about the moon. After reading about the moon, we completed pages in our close reading companion. Finally, we took our weekly assessment and practiced finding adjectives in sentences.

In Math class today, we continued to practice adding with regrouping. The students are doing very well with this skill. I am very proud of them.

For Social Studies today we wrapped up our unit on geography. Next, we will begin a unit on economics.

We did take time today to complete a St. Patrick's Day writing project. We created a pot of gold. On each gold coin we wrote someone, something, or a skill that is worth gold to us. Have a look:

We end our day with Gym class. The rain kept us inside today. So, we exercised to some GoNoodle videos.

As promised, here is a picture of last week's Art project.

Have a great weekend! See you on Monday!
