Jelly Bean Fun!

Greetings and thank you for another great virtual day of learning. These past two days have been so successful. I loved seeing their independence and confidence grow. Thank you for all that you did to help these past two days.

In Religion class today we reviewed the events of Holy Week by creating a cross. The cross consists of pictures of the events of Holy Week. The students are encouraged to display the cross as we enter into the Holy Three Days.

In Language Arts class, we practiced reading all of our sight words. We also took part in an Easter show and tell. The students did a great job writing clues as to what they put in their egg. I had a hard time guessing what was inside.

Then, we took a break from Language Arts to have some jellybean math fun. The students were given a bag of jelly beans. With them, they created different patterns, used them to measure different objects, and created a graph with them.

We ended the morning with Science. Today we talked about magnets and how they attract to or repel from objects. The students were then tasked to find objects in their house that attract and repel magnets.

This afternoon in Math, we continued to practice solving word problems. We are getting better at listening for clue words that will help us add or subtract.

Tomorrow we return to the classroom. It is a jean day and an early dismissal day. Have a great night!
