A Great Day!

Greetings! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a nice long weekend. I did enjoy the extra day off. It was nice to relax, do some shopping, and catch up on some reading.

In Religion class today we talked about how God always cares for us and how we do not need to worry because of that. We also completed the second week of the ARISE program. Today we focused on solidarity and how we are all part of God's family and how we need to help everyone. Finally, we prayed the first two decades of the Sorrowful Mysteries.

We began Language Arts class by working in our literacy centers. From there we began a new week of learning. Today we learned two new oral vocabulary words (shelter and materials). We also worked on making predictions as we read 3 Little Dassies. Following that we learned how to blend and read short u words which was followed by learning our new sight words. We ended the morning by reading a fantasy story about cubs called Cubs in a Hut

This afternoon we learned about singular and plural nouns. We focused on how to make a noun plural. Most times we can just add -s. However, if the word ends in an x, s, ss, we need to add -es.

In Penmanship class this week we will be practicing writing the letter A.

In Math class today we practiced solving subtraction sentences. Today we used a number line to help us count backwards to find the answer.

We finished our bats from Friday's Art class this morning. Here they are:

Just a reminder tomorrow is already Wednesday. Please remember your Gym shoes. Also, book orders are due tomorrow.

Have a great night!
