Greetings! Happy Halloween! Today was a spooktacular day in first grade. We really enjoyed our Halloween celebration!
We began our day by practicing with our eighth grade friends for tomorrow's prayer service. The prayer service will begin at 1:15 in the church. We are quite excited to dress as our given saints as a reminder to live as they did.
After a Guidance class, we had some Halloween fun. We read Go Away Big Green Monster. We then created our own green monsters. I loved seeing their creativity come alive as they designed their monster. We ended our project by writing about something our monster can do.
After lunch, it was time to celebrate Halloween. We got into our costumes and paraded around the cafeteria for all to see. Back in our classroom, we played games and made a spider web craft. Thank you to all of the parents who came today to help. The students really enjoyed it. I am sure they will fall asleep fast tonight.
