Witch's Brew!

Greetings! Happy Friday! Today was another busy day to end our week.

We began our Friday with Mass. Today Fr. Brian reminded us about our greatest vocation: to tell others the Good News of Jesus.

Language Arts was quite busy today as we wrapped up another week of learning. We used our oral vocabulary words in sentences. We read short u words and wrote contractions for is. We also wrote sentences using our sight words. After that we read a story in our decodable reader booklets. We also completed pages in our close reading companion that focused on finding details in a story. We ended class by taking our weekly assessment and writing plural nouns.

In Math class today, the students worked with a partner to solve subtraction problems. Some groups did them in their head while others used linking cubes. I loved seeing them work together using different strategies to solve the problems.

In Science class today we talked about living and nonliving things. The students worked in groups to sort pictures into living and nonliving things. We ended class by drawing examples of living and nonliving things.

Finally, it was time for Art. Today we made a witch's cauldron. Coming out of the cauldron is their hand which they turned into a ghost. They look cute!

Have a great weekend!
